<span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;">Ohio Historical Society News and Needs</span><br />The Ohio Social Studies Resource Center Seeks Teachers to Serve on the 2008 Resource Review Board<br />The Ohio Social Studies Resource Center (OSSRC) is seeking grade 9-12 educators, who have experience teaching social studies, to serve on its 2007 Resource Review Board. Peer-reviewers selected will be expected to attend a one-day training session in Columbus, Ohio on February 16th, 2008. After attending the training session, teachers will be assigned 35 educational resources to be reviewed, which can be accessed and completed via the Internet. The review board will conclude on March 28th, 2008. Selected grades 9-12 review board members will receive a stipend of $800.00 and will be reimbursed for the travel expenses they accrue to attend the one-day training event. The application deadline for grade 9-12 reviewers is January 5th, 2008.<br />]]></description>
